Getting a Moldovan +373 Number for SMS Verification

Steps to receive a code on a Moldovan number

A one-time Moldova phone number for verification comes from Instant OTP. The routine:

1. Account. Go to /signup. Either verify an email address with the 6-digit code that arrives in your mailbox, or continue with Google.
2. Wallet. Load your dollar balance by card via Stripe, or with USDT or USDC. The store stays locked, prices included, until that first payment arrives.
3. Selection. Pick the app you are signing up for, then Moldova.
4. Number. Copy the +373 number from the order and enter it where the app asks for your phone.
5. Code. Switch back to OTP Bolt. The SMS appears in the live inbox, generally in a minute or two.

One order, one code. Once the app accepts it, the job is finished.

Dropping the zero: how +373 numbers are written

Inside Moldova, people dial a leading 0 before the eight-digit number, so a mobile looks like 06X XXX XXX or 07X XXX XXX at home. Internationally, that 0 disappears: the number becomes +373 6X XXX XXX or +373 7X XXX XXX.

When you fill in a sign-up form:

• Select Moldova in the country list and type the eight digits without the 0.
• In a single field, paste +373 directly followed by those eight digits.
• Do not write 00373 in an app; most forms expect the plus sign.

If a code fails to appear, a stray 0 between +373 and the number is the first thing to check.

Apps covered by Instant OTP in Moldova

Moldova has more than 1,700 apps on Instant OTP. Frequent requests include Viber, which is widely used across Moldova, Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google (Gmail and YouTube), Microsoft and Outlook, Signal, Discord, LinkedIn, AliExpress, eBay and Claude.

What is orderable for +373 can change from week to week. The dashboard is always current, and /otp shows the full catalog.

Timing and refunds

The order clock runs for 20 minutes. Should it run out with no SMS, or should you cancel before anything comes in, the full amount is put back in your wallet automatically. Delivered codes are charged as normal. Some orders let you request a second SMS on the same number if the first code was lost or mistyped.

No code yet? Troubleshooting a +373 order

• Leftover zero. +373 0... is the classic mistake. Remove the 0 and try again on a new order.
• Wrong country in the dropdown. Moldova sits close to Monaco and Mongolia in alphabetical lists.
• The app blocks virtual numbers. Some services only accept SIM-based numbers, and nothing on our end changes that.
• Too many resend taps. Apps may impose a waiting period after repeated requests.

Whatever the reason, an order that ends without a code costs nothing: the refund is automatic, and you can start over straight away.

Requesting a Dedicated Number in Moldova

If you need a +373 number for the long term, a Dedicated Number from $1.95/month is the product for it. The honest picture on availability: only the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico are self-serve with immediate activation. Moldovan numbers come on request.

Start in the dashboard under Request a country and select Moldova. The OTP Bolt team then confirms whether a number is available, what it costs, and whether local regulations mean an address or ID check has to happen before activation. Timing depends on the outcome, so do not leave it until the day you need it.

Once your Moldovan number is live, it gives you:

• Ongoing SMS reception for verification texts, useful for logging in again or recovering an account.
• Browser-based calls from Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, with no SIM or extra software.
• Calls coming in straight to the browser, logged automatically.
• Wallet-paid prepaid terms, a reminder email before each renewal, and release whenever you choose.

Should a Moldovan sign-up use Instant OTP or a kept +373 line?

A quick rule of thumb: if the phone number only has to pass a single check, use Instant OTP. If the service will send codes again for logins or recovery, or you want a Moldovan line for clients and partners, request a Dedicated Number. Losing an Instant OTP number later is expected; losing a number tied to your main accounts is a real problem.

Who orders a Moldovan number, and why

Romanian is Moldova's official language, and Russian is still widely spoken, so a verification SMS might arrive in Romanian, Russian or English depending on the app and your account settings.

People come to OTP Bolt for a +373 number in situations like these:

• Moldovans working in Italy, Romania, Germany or elsewhere in Europe who want to stay reachable for services back home.
• Software and outsourcing teams in Chișinău that keep client-facing accounts off staff phones.
• Visitors planning a trip who want messaging ready before they arrive.
• Anyone wanting a second number for sign-ups, to keep a personal SIM private.

Testing for the Moldovan market. Through the REST API at /developers, an API key lets automated tests order a +373 number, poll for the incoming SMS and cancel unused orders, so you can confirm your app strips the domestic 0 and accepts eight-digit numbers.
