When an App Wants a PNG Number: Your +675 Options
You can receive a verification code on a Papua New Guinea (+675) number with OTP Bolt's Instant OTP, from $0.20 per code, without a local SIM. To hold a +675 number long term, request a Dedicated Number from $1.95/month and we confirm availability, pricing and any address or ID requirement first.
A contractor flying in, a student flying out
An engineer from Brisbane starts a rotation on a project outside Port Moresby. The site's messaging group, a ride app and the accommodation booking all want a local number, and he would rather not give out his Australian mobile to everyone on the roster. Meanwhile a student from Lae has moved to Australia for university and still needs a way to confirm accounts tied to home.
A Papua New Guinea virtual number solves both problems from a browser. OTP Bolt sells it two ways:
- Instant OTP: a +675 number used for one verification code, from $0.20 per code.
- Dedicated Numbers: a +675 number you keep while it renews, from $1.95/month, available on request.
Which services work with +675 Instant OTP?
More than 800 apps can currently send a code to a PNG number through OTP Bolt. The ones people ask about most include WhatsApp, Facebook, Google (Gmail and YouTube), Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, Signal, imo, Viber, Microsoft and Outlook, LinkedIn, Amazon, Discord and Claude.
Availability is live rather than fixed, so open the dashboard to see what is on offer before ordering. We are not affiliated with these apps, and their names are trademarks of their owners. Certain apps refuse numbers they identify as virtual, which is why orders that receive nothing are refunded in full.
Ordering a PNG code in five steps
- Make an account on /signup: enter your email and the 6-digit code we send, or use Google.
- Put money in the wallet. Your first top-up activates ordering and displays exact prices.
- Choose the app you are signing up for and set the country to Papua New Guinea.
- Copy the +675 number from the order and enter it in the app's phone field.
- Watch the live inbox. Codes typically show up in a minute or two.
Each order stays open for 20 minutes. When that time runs out without a code, or when you cancel early, the full price is returned to your wallet without you asking. You pay only for a code that actually reached you. While the order is still open, it is sometimes possible to ask the app for a second SMS to the same number.
How to write a +675 mobile number in an app
Papua New Guinea moved its mobile numbers to eight digits some years ago, and today they commonly begin with 7. Once you have the number, choose Papua New Guinea (+675) in the app's country selector and type the eight digits that follow. If you ever see a PNG number printed with an extra 0 in front, leave that 0 out when the country code is already selected.
English, Tok Pisin and Hiri Motu are all used in the country, but nearly every verification message from a global service arrives in English. A handful of apps follow your device language instead, which does not change the digits you need to copy.
My +675 code is late or missing
Run through three checks before anything else:
- Papua New Guinea is selected in the app, not a nearby Pacific country.
- The number was pasted in full, with no extra 0 or space.
- The app reported that a code was sent rather than showing an error.
If the 20 minutes pass with nothing in the inbox, the refund is automatic. You can then order again or try another country for the same app, since apps differ in which number ranges they accept. Keep to your own legitimate accounts: OTP Bolt is not for evading a ban, avoiding identity checks or creating batches of accounts.
A PNG number you keep: when to request a Dedicated Number
For a one-off sign-up, Instant OTP is enough. Choose a Dedicated Number when the number has a future: logging back into an account, recovering it later, or letting colleagues and family reach you on a +675 line.
Self-serve activation with no waiting is limited to the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. For Papua New Guinea, use Request a country in your dashboard. The OTP Bolt team checks whether a +675 number can be supplied, what it costs and whether an address or ID check is required by local rules. Turnaround is different for each country.
With an active PNG Dedicated Number you get:
- one SMS inbox that keeps collecting verification texts, with no cap on how many
- outbound calls from a tab in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, with no SIM or phone app involved
- incoming calls ringing in the browser and a record of calls made and received
- wallet-funded prepaid renewals, an email before each renewal date, and the freedom to release the number when you are done
Testing PNG sign-ups over the API
Building a service for users in Port Moresby or Lae? With an API key, the OTP Bolt REST API can order a +675 Instant OTP number, poll until the SMS lands and cancel the order if it is not needed. That lets you confirm your validation accepts eight-digit PNG mobiles and that your verification text arrives as expected. See /developers for the details.
Funding your account
The OTP Bolt wallet is prepaid and kept in US dollars. You can top up with a card via Stripe checkout or with USDT or USDC stablecoins. Every payment comes with an emailed PDF invoice, and your first top-up opens up ordering and full prices for Papua New Guinea and every other country.
