No, and it is worth clearing up first. Bolt is the ride-hailing and delivery company founded in Estonia, known for cars, e-scooters and Bolt Food. OTP Bolt is a separate service that provides phone numbers for receiving verification codes. The shared word is a coincidence. We have no affiliation with Bolt, cannot see or change your Bolt account, and Bolt is a trademark of its owner.

When does the Bolt app send an SMS code?

Bolt signs you up with a mobile number and confirms it with a short code. You will usually see another one when you log in on a different phone or after reinstalling the app. The same account covers rides, scooter rentals and food orders, so losing access to the number means losing access to all three.

How do I receive a Bolt OTP online?

1. Register with OTP Bolt using email (a 6-digit code confirms it) or Google.
2. Fund the wallet with a card payment or USDT / USDC; ordering opens up, and per-country prices appear, after that first deposit.
3. Choose Bolt in Instant OTP, then a country, and copy the number.
4. In the Bolt app, select the country code and paste the national digits without a leading 0. A UK number starting 07, for example, is entered from the 7.
5. Tap to send the code, then switch back to the browser tab where your order is open.
6. Enter the code in Bolt.

You have 20 minutes per order. If no code turns up, or you cancel before one does, the full price goes back to your wallet. Once Bolt's code reaches your inbox, the order is spent and no refund applies.

Why didn't my Bolt SMS code arrive, and what now?

Three causes cover most cases:

• Formatting. A doubled country code or an extra 0 sends the SMS nowhere.
• Number refused. Bolt, like many apps, may not accept every virtual number in every country. That risk is why unused orders are refunded.
• Rate limits. Several resend taps in a row can make the app pause sending for a while.

First check the digits. If they are right, you can sometimes request another SMS on the same number while the window is open. Still nothing? Cancel, wait for the refund, and switch country.

Should I pick a Dedicated Number for Bolt instead?

Pick one if you ride regularly, use Bolt for work trips, or simply do not want to repeat verification every time you change phones. Driver and courier sign-ups involve identity and document checks run by Bolt, and a second number is no way around them. Use your own verified details there. For rider and Bolt Food accounts, stick to one account per real person, follow Bolt's terms, and use the number for legitimate reasons such as privacy, travel or separating work and personal use.
